This passage will be a masterclass in weather routing and strategy. We will spend a few days cruising and enjoying Bahamas - getting used to the yacht and waiting for the right weather window. Experience the offshore routine, Atlantic ocean waves, strong currents, rapidly shifting weather and working in a shift system. Keeping a good lookout and staying focused , while on watch is imperative.

Guadeloupe, Dominica & Martinique - These un-spoilt, tropical islands are among the most captivating and picturesque in the Caribbean and the ideal destination for a coastal sailing adventure. This stretch of the Leeward Island chain is purely coastal sailing, with around 30 nm miles between each island being the furthest distance we have to make. It means we will stop and discover somewhere new daily, including fascinating towns and communities, spectacular scenery rich in jungle, volcanoes, coral reefs, quiet anchorages and perfect white sand beaches.  Allied to the trade winds, the sun and warm Caribbean sea make this a magical location for a sailing adventure that will leave you spellbound.

Typical Weather Expect a delightful mix of tropical weather and balmy breezes with moderate temperatures. Average daytime temperatures during this time hover around 26°C with bright sunny skies. Tradewinds from the east-northeast provide a consistent breeze, averaging between 10-25 kts. Expect occasional tropical showers.

After exploring Santiago de Cuba, we will sail west along the south coast stopping in a new anchorage on most days, explore on shore or swim along the reefs with crystal clear waters. The Jardines de la Reina archipelago was given its name by Christopher Columbus. The 75-mile-long tropical islands are renowned for its vibrant coral and diverse marine life. We can swim along the shallow reefs teeming with juvenile fish and enjoy a sunset dinner at anchor, surrounded by untouched mangrove islands. Our final stop: Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South,” is a city celebrated for its French neoclassical architecture and gentle maritime atmosphere. The city is a real mix of architectural elegance, historical depth, and natural beauty, making it a quintessential Cuban experience.

The San Blas Islands - Get ready for some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The San Blas islands are renowned for its vibrant coral and diverse marine life. We can swim along the shallow reefs teeming with fish and enjoy breathtaking sunsets at anchor. The remaining days will be at spent explore the islands, staying in different anchorages, before sailing to the mainland.

Ask any seasoned cruiser—the passage from Grenada to Martinique is one of the Caribbean’s most loved routes. Why? It’s a perfect blend of trade winds, short hops, and stunning anchorages. Christmas Day sees us anchored off a quiet beach, swimming before breakfast, then Christmas dinner is served back on board under a clear sky. As New Year’s Eve arrives, we drop anchor near one of the islands’ lively beach bars, where locals and sailors gather to welcome the new year with music, dancing and the warm Caribbean night all around. Expect warm days, crystal-clear waters, island culture, and the rare magic of celebrating the Christmas barefoot, afloat, and far from winter. This is real sailing, real discovery, and an amazing experience you’ll never forget.

Setting off from Salvador, we will explore the “ Bay of All saints” , stopping in a new anchorage every day - exploring onshore the rich history of the area and enjoy the local culture, music and food. Around the bay and up the rivers there are many anchorages to explore, all only a few hours' sail away from each other. It would be easy to spend months here without seeing it all.

After 1-2 days cruising the“all Saints bay” we head south on an offshore passage to Cabo Frio. Time permitting, we will be spend a few days explore the bays and beaches of Cabo Frio, before we sail into the Rio de Janeiro.

After a safety brief, we will spend the adventure cruising the Ilha Grande Bay - day sailing and staying in a new anchorage every night. There will be plenty of time to swim and snorkel the reefs or go on shore to explore centuries-old colonial buildings & churches or the remnant of an old water mill that once powered a now abandoned distillery being reclaimed by the jungle.

After a safety brief, we will spend a few days cruising the Ilha Grande Bay - day sailing and staying in a new anchorage every night. With the right weather window, we sail south along the Green coast and offshore towards Uruguay. Time permitting, we will stop and explore the area around Port Belo, State of Santa Catarina.

Everest mountaineers have the Himalayan Base Camp, those sailing Patagonia have Mar del Plata. It is the last significant town in Argentina before the coast gets more rugged and inhospitable; safe harbours are few and far between. Those who pass this point can expect to sail through the wilderness of the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties. WEATHER: Expect heavy weather as this is the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties. We will be monitoring the weather closely, looking for weather windows for the longer passages. Especially, last 400 miles, which is the most challenging leg on our route, as it is void of shelters and we get closer to, where depressions enter the Atlantic from the south.

We depart from Puerto Montt, nestled at the northern edge of Chilean Patagonia, and quickly leave the coastline behind as we sail northwest to the Juan Fernández Archipelago, a place of myth and maritime legend. The main island, Robinson Crusoe Island, is home to a small fishing community and dramatic green hills. Weather permitting, we anchor at San Juan Bautista, stretch our legs on coastal trails, and soak up the atmosphere of this secluded volcanic gem. Then comes the heart of this adventure: an extended pacific ocean passage. We ride the Humbolt current North, watch for whales, and share the rhythm of life at sea—stars above, dolphins below as we sail in a watch system until “land Ahoy” at Easter Island.

The adventure starts on the mysterious Easter Island (Rapa Nui), home to the iconic Moai statues. Set sail into the vast Pacific Ocean, leaving behind Easter Island’s rugged shores, we make landfall at the legendary Pitcairn Island, steeped in the history of the HMS Bounty mutineers. Landing here is weather-dependent. From Pitcairn Island, we set sail again into the vast Pacific Ocean. Enjoy warm days, starlit nights, and the chance to swim in the deep blue during this exhilarating ocean crossing until we make landfall and Anchor at Mangareva, the largest island in the Gambier Archipelago.

Explore crystal-clear lagoons, unspoiled coral reefs, and idyllic beaches, with stopovers in Tuamotus archipelago and the dramatic volcanic peaks of Society Islands. - WEATHER: In June, sailors in French Polynesia can expect predominantly easterly trade winds ranging from 10 to 25 knots, providing favorable sailing conditions throughout the region. These winds create moderate sea conditions, with wave heights averaging 2 to 3 meters. The average air temperature hovers around 28°C with pleasant sea temperatures at approximately 26°C. Expect occasional squalls, which may bring sudden shifts in wind direction and intensified rain showers but are typically short-lived.

Your adventure begins in Tahiti, during the vibrant Heiva Festival season in July—a celebration of culture, dance, and storytelling. From here, we set sail for Raivavae, and later Tubuai, if time permits Rurutu. We will anchor in remote anchorages, snorkel crystal-clear reefs, and follow the rhythm of the ocean—just like the humpbacks. Each crossing under the starry sky offers a chance to learn celestial navigation, Polynesian wayfinding legends, and hands-on sailing.

Departing from the vibrant shores of Tahiti, we will sail to Huahine, Raiatea and the legendary Bora Bora with its towering peaks and turquoise waters, along with lesser-known gems that offer pristine beaches and untouched reefs. Swim with manta rays, snorkel among vibrant corals teeming with reef fish and turtles, and explore lagoons rich in marine life. Time permitting, we may stop at Moorea, before heading to Papeete.

Departing from the vibrant shores of Tahiti, we will sail to Moorea, before heading to Huahine and the legendary Bora Bora with its towering peaks and turquoise waters, along with lesser-known gems that offer pristine beaches and untouched reefs. Swim with manta rays, snorkel among vibrant corals teeming with reef fish and turtles, and explore lagoons rich in marine life. The adventure ends in Raiatea.
